Thumbnails / Miniaturas

This is part of the process of every film, essential for the composition of the shots. After having the first draft of the script, I managed to tell the story in four rough thumbnailed pages. I think it was a good decision to make it as soon as possible, noticing in the very beginning the possibilities that the short film had: it worked as the basis for further pre-production steps. In the next script drafts some of the shots were removed , some added and some compositions didn't changed at all and were kept for the final short film.

Esto es parte del proceso en toda película, esencial para la composición de los planos. Después de tener el primer borrador del guión, conseguí contar la historia en cuatro páginas de miniaturas en sucio. Creo que fue una buena decisión hacerlo tan pronto como fue posible, dándome cuenta al comienzo de las posibilidades que el corto: funcionó como la base para posteriores pasos en la pre-producción. En los siguientes borradores del guión algunos de los planos se quitaron, otros se añadieron y otras composiciones no cambiaron en nada y se mantuvieron en el corto final.

The Meeting - El Encuentro - SC_100

This is one of the scenes I like the most, and here can be seen how the work was developed: first the final shot, and after it the background (composed and painted in the computer) and the original pencil drawned A3 levels.

Esta es una de las escenas que más me gustan, y aquí se puede var como se desarrolló en trabajo: primero el plano final, y después de éste el fondo (compuesto y pintado en el ordenador) y los niveles en A3, originales dibujados a lápiz.
